As a Senior Software Engineer at Trek10, Matthew loves getting his hands dirty and solving problems, big or small, with the software he writes.
Matthew was drawn to the Cloud in 2016 in Junior year of high school as he was taking AP Computer Science. Learning about the way that AWS services could distill a lot of the complexity of the lower level management of building large, scalable software systems really lit a lightbulb in his mind that this was going to continue to snowball in popularity. After taking some Udemy courses, he got his first AWS certification, a Solutions Architect Associate, and has been learning continuously ever since. His current programming language of choice is Go, and has recently been really intrigued with the philosophy of returning to simple hypermedia with HTMX.
When Matthew isn’t working, he can be found playing Factorio with his friends, spending time with his family, optimizing his personal finances, or helping with his family’s small business.
Matthew holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and is a AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional.
